Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Have you done anything special for Breast Cancer Awareness Month? We will be traveling this afternoon and tonight in order to be at my Mother-In-Laws first thing in the morning. We are going to do a Breast Cancer Survivors Walk with her. The event is for survivors and their families so, my sister-in-law called us and told us about it. We changed our plans for the weekend and will be there to celebrate 'her'.
**Be sure to do self breast exams and get yearly mamograms once a year starting at age 40**
My Mother-In-Law is living proof that early detection saves lives!!

Apples Anyone?!
We decided to go for a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway this morning so we could enjoy all the fall colors. If you have never taken a trip on the Parkway, you should plan to in the future. It is beautiful any time of year but, October when the foliage is changing is breath taking. 
We have spent many weekends riding our motorcycles on the Parkway visiting all the historical landmarks but, today is the first time we took the truck and visited Apple orchards. For my well spent $20 we have so many apples that I have spent the afternoon making apple tarts, apple pie filling, baked apples, and apple sauce. I have more apples but, I just can't think of anything else to make with them.
