My Shopping Trip

Thank Goodness for storage space. I decided to do a monthly (and more) shopping trip to take advantage of Harris Teeter's Triple Coupon weekend. Triple coupons continue today and I have not looked through today's coupons to see what I may be able to get for free but, I will add that later. I will need to only buy milk, eggs, and fruit for the remainder of the month (and longer). Keep in mind, I have 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law in college, and 1 granddaughter that regularly come "shopping" at my house. I try to help them keep their grocery spending to a minimum by sharing anything I have stocked up.

On the way home, I used my expiring Register Rewards at Walgreens to get (Not Pictured) 4 Gallons of Milk, 3 12pks Pepsi Products.

Here is the breakdown: At Harris Teeter I spent a total of $101.79 with a savings of $374.60. At Walgreens I spent $3.18 and saved $26.15. My total Spending...$104.97 with a savings of $400.75.

I got 7 bags of Eat Smart Chips, 5 Smucker's Jelly, 1 Chinet Plates, 6 Dried Onions, 3 GUM Toothbrushes, 1 Baker's Joy Cooking Spray, 1 No Yolks Noodles, 1 Suave Deodorant, 2 Crest Pro Health Toothpaste, 1 Crest Expressions Toothpaste.

1 Dole Fruit, 1 Lean Pocket, 4 Lipton Soup Mixes, 4 Boxes Weight Watchers Muffins, 6 Quaker Rice Cakes, 7 Eggo Waffles, 2 cans Veg All, 7 bags Croutons.

I did it in 3 transactions. My total (added together) was $125.25 and my coupons tendered were $133.40. The coupon amounts are adjusted to make products free with no overage so, my savings was 100%.

Did I mention that I love Triple Coupons?!

I decided to try this using my "Buy 3 Kraft products, Get ** free" coupons from the new issue of 'All You' magazine.

Free Iced Coffee Day (Thursday May 15, 2008)

Be sure and stop by any Dunkin' Donuts between 10am and 10pm tomorrow for a free iced coffee (16 oz.). No purchase is necessary

After Dunkin' Donuts, head on over to McDonald's for your free chicken biscuit until 10:30am or if you get a late start, no need to worry, you can get a free chicken sandwich from 10:30am-7:00pm with the purchase of a med. or Lg. drink.

Now all that is left to do is head over to Harris Teeter for their TRIPLE coupon sale (up to .99)

It has been confirmed that we have another Triple Coupon weekend coming up next Thursday-Saturday (May 15-17) thanks to Harris Teeter. If you are unfamiliar with what this means, Harris Teeter will triple any coupon with a face value of 99 cents or less.

CVS:

I don't have a picture because my SoftSoap purchase went home with my daughter. She is getting care packages ready for a few of her friends in Iraq and I was glad to help out.

I hit the jackpot on this trip to CVS. I had some ECB's that were expiring today and really didn't need anything. I bought 4 SoftSoap. I used 4/$1 off coupons, $5/$15 coupon, $15 ECB, and paid $1.29 oop.

The best part was that I got: $19.96 ECB's; $10 off any purchase coupon; $2 coupon off any $10 purchase of Shampoo, Conditioner, or hair styling product; and, $2 off coupon on any Preparation H.

My second purchase wasn't as good but, I had a few more ECB's expiring so I got 4 All small & mighty laundry detergent. I used 4/$1 off coupons, $5/$15 cvs coupon, and $5 ECB's. My oop was $2.36.

I had 2 carts full of kids!!! Oh my!! Know who the worst ones were? The big ones of course :) The little ones were bribed with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese.
