Steve and Barry's
We have a new Steve & Barry's and everything in the store is $8.98! They carry "Bitten" by Sarah Jessica Parker and "dear" by Amanda Bynes. I took my daughter shopping for school clothes. For $105.00 she got 2 pair of shoes, 5 pair of jeans, and 4 shirts. If you have teenagers, you understand what a good deal this is. It isn't very often that you can get them to even consider anything that doesn't say Hollister.

Noodling
(This was a 49lb catfish my husband caught with a rod and reel)My husband has lost his mind!! He is going noodling this weekend! If you aren't quite sure what that is, by all means, let me enlighten you.
A perfectly sane man finds a hollowed out log and climbs in the lake. Then sticking his arm in the log he hopes that a huge catfish bites the bait (his arm) and he can pull him out, take a picture, and throw it back.
What exactly is the problem with using a fishing pole?!

Harris Teeter
Thank goodness for extra large deep freezers. Harris Teeter is having a "Buy One Get Two Free Sale" and if you can see where I am going with this...I get to use 3 coupons and each of them are doubled! Wooohoooo!! I stock up when things we normally use are on sale so, I got 12 boxes of Crystal Light, 24 boxes of Pillsbury Toaster Strudles/Scramblers, 3 Jolly Time popcorn, 8 packages of hot dogs, and 6 boxes of M&M Ice cream sandwiches. Jolly Time Popcorn B1G1 or 2/$2.69 ... used (2) .75 cents off coupon located in the TicTac brochure found at the checkout counter of WalMart and Food Lion. I made .31 on that.
Crystal Light B1G2 or 3/$3.89 ... I didn't have a coupon for that but, when you buy 4 or more you get a $4.00 off your next purchase coupon.

I will go out of my way to report a rude cashier therefor,when I have an extremely friendly/helpful cashier i feel I should also go out of my way to report it.
I went through the drive thru at Bojangles and (I) screwed up my order. Of course I had already paid and was at the pick up window before I figured it out. They were extremely busy but, the girl that waited on me was so nice that I had to call.
The person who took my call was ready for a complaint I guess because he was certianly suprised when I said I wanted to report a very good employee.

Vacation is over..
I am back from vacationing and ready to start finding lots of freebies and get back to being frugal. I will be the first to say, I totally abandoned anything remotely frugal while vacationing and enjoyed every minute of it.
We spent my birthday (and a couple more days) in Washington D.C., we spent my oldest daughters 21st birthday (and a couple more days) in N.Y.C., a day in the Amish country of Pennsylvania (it started storming and I almost killed an Amish horse), our anniversary at the beach, fishing, fireworks and scuba diving. I have shopped and shopped and shopped some more.
All of our celebrating is over for a little while. I never thought I would say that I was ready to get back to work but, my diet is shot and I am ready to start saving for our next trip.
