I signed up for PPP!

I have heard so much about PayPerPost.com on the blogs that I regularly visit that I had to visit their website and find out for myself what all the hoopla was about. After reading all the good reviews and learning that I can earn money doing what I already love to do, I signed up.

Go figure!, somebody wants to pay me for my opinions, how great is that?! I got the approval yesterday and look forward to posting. Bear with me, I am new at this and have a lot to learn. It will be intresting to see how my post evolve over time. PayPerPost has strict blog ethics so, I will always make it clear when I am posting anything I am receiving any form of payment for.

I don’t plan on getting rich from PayPerPost but, extra money is always nice. I am planning a trip now to New York and although it is too late to earn money to help with that trip, I will be going on my dream scuba diving vacation to Honduras next year that I need to start saving for.

My baby is turning 13 next week. How depressing!! We are planning a birthday party for her and she wants to have it at her oldest sisters house. I guess when you are 13, having a 20yr old sister is cool.

Me and my oldest daughter have been planning a party. She (woohoo, not me) is going to have six 13yr olds spending the night! They are going to have pizza, cake, and ice cream. That is the part I get to stay for.

After that, they are doing makeovers. We have made goodie bags for everybody using all the FREE Jane makeup we got. The bags were on clearance after Easter for .25 cents. So far, I have spent about $2.00 oop for this party.

The pizza will be $15 (3 $5 pizzas from Little Ceasars). The cake, this is where I should say it is going to be homemade, is coming straight from the bakery for $17.00. I already have the drinks and ice cream. I think it is going to be a fun time for less than $35 and best of all....it will not be at my house : ) Thanks to one of the best daughters in the world.

A couple of friends and I went to an Allison Moorer concert last night. I wasn't real sure how I would like it before I went. I had only listened to one of her songs on cd and I was not a huge fan of it.

I was pleasantly suprised, as soon as she started singing, I loved her! The cd I had listened to did not do her justice! Her voice was amazing! I am, and will continue to be, a fan.
The feeling was mutual with my friends also. Wow!

Concert Night

Tonight is the Allison Moorer concert and not only am I going but, I have talked several friends into going with me and making a day of it. I am looking forward to a wonderful day with friends..eating/shopping and then a concert.

Do they have a 12 step program for fishing? If so, my husband can be the leader. Hi. His name is J and he is an addict. LOL

Seriously, in September when he was deep sea fishing he caught a rare fish and just got a certificate in the mail for it. He was so excited. I have been asked to get it framed so he can put it in the lake house. I blacked his name out but, here is his prized possession:

I know I put this on here a while back but, I just ran across it again and still find it hillarious! I do realize that cashiers have to deal with a lot of different people every day so, when I have an exceptionally good one, I make it a point to let the manager know.

I wrote this so all yall would know what we are thinking....

This is too all the people who are thinking about, are already, or will one day become CUSTOMERS

Don't throw you money at the cashier- if their hand is out, kindly place in the palm of the handIt's really hard to pick change up off a conveyer belt

Press "English"- I know this is America- but you got to do, what ya got to do

Take the crap out of the basket- its hard to ring up and take your crap out of the basket and keep effeciency high- Do we have to come around and empty your cart for you??

I am very skilled at scanning the MVP card. Please allow me.

Get Your Kids- If they put a candy bar on the register- I am gonna scan it

If you only have 30 dollars - don't fill up your cart where it is about to spill over and hope someone around you is gona loan you $71.84 to cover you.

Don't stand by the register after we are finished ringing you up and stare at your receit - walk away

Look for your keys by your car or by the door- there are other people who want to be rang up

I know it sucks when there is a limit put upon things- not our fault

I'm sorry that we are out of stock on something... not my department

It's a shame you don't have .02... and now you have to break a whole dollar- If we gave everyone that extra penny, think how broke we'd be

When the total is 7.09 and you only have 6.00, don't look at me and say "oh, all I have is 6.00..."... I don't care- that's when you start putting something back

If the light is OFF and we are wiping down the register- NO, we are NOT open just because we are standing there

If the light is ON and we are not standing there- someone will be right over- chances are they were doing something productive for someone else

Don't hit your kids in front of us- thats wierd.

It's really akward if we say "have a nice day" and you don't walk away- then we feel the need to walk away.

If we have no name tag, are drinking a soda, talkin on the phone, and walkin down the aisle- No, we cannot assist you in anything

Don't say "fine" before I say "how are you"

Tell us before we start ringing stuff up that its WIC- are we just suppose to guess??

Anyone can get your cigarettes for you

Stop letting your kids press the ATM buttons. geez.

The register will NOT let us ring of alcohol before 12p.m.- even if it is only 3 minutes till

I like my name too.

Don't re- bag your groceries we just got done bagging. If you don't like the way we are doing it - suggestions are always welcome

If the register says "too many coupons" accept it and move on- it was only .15 cent off your 24 rolls of toilet paper

and as always - we REALLY DO appreciate your business- it gives us our hours

Walgreens:

Let me start by saying, I have always experienced great customer service at Walgreens...except for last week.

I had an hour to spare before my doctors appointment and a new Walgreens recently opened next door to the doctors office so, I decided to go in and take advantage of my $5 off (1 day) coupon.

I was the ONLY customer in the store when I went to the register. While scanning my coupons the cash register froze and the cashier spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with it before calling for somebody to help him. The assistant manager decided they needed to call about getting the cash register repaired while I stood there waiting. I am still the only customer in the store and four employees are discussing what to do about this register. I spend another 10 minutes waiting for them to decide to just open the other register.

We took my bags to the other register and started over. When I handed the cashier my $5 coupon he said that was what made that register lock up so I couldn't use it. What?! All four employees are still standing there and decided that would be a good time to discuss my coupon usage and why did I want more $ off if I was already using a MQ for the product.

After standing at the register for 35 minutes I told them to forget it, keep the stuff because it was not worth all of that. I got the customer service number and called them as I was leaving.

Yesterday I had a message on my voice mail asking me to contact them to try and resolve the problem I had. Well, I finally got in touch with the manager this morning and I am sure she read straight from a paper what she was supposed to say to me and then offered me a gift card to make up for my coupon I was unable to use.

I will go pick up my gift card but, I will never shop that Walgreens again. I feel the need to go to my tried and true regular Walgreens where they have been nothing but friendly.
