If you don't already have all your Halloween decorations, recipes for goodies, or activities for your kids to do, It is time to get started.
One day I will be able to carve a pumpkin that will be to die for but, just like years past, it probably won't be this year. There are some easy (and difficult)patterns HERE. I thought maybe painting a pumpkin might be easier. HERE are some of the neatest painted pumpkins but, HERE is probably more suited to my artistic ability.
If you are having a halloween party or just want to make some cute snacks for your kids, try some Spooky Brownies (pictured above).

Wanting to make your own mask? Just print the pattern at Woman's Day and Have fun!

I just don't think a frugal but fun Halloween gets any better than when the kids paint their own pumpkins. I've been doing pumpkin painting for years and it's turned into an awesome family tradition.
Painted pumpkins can last for weeks, even into the Thanksgiving season. (I like to paint one side of a pumpkin for Halloween, flip it around and paint the other side for Thanksgiving!)
I love this time of year because I can decorate with Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas for 3 months straight.
