Linville Caverns

My husband and I decided to spend the day yesterday exploring. Neither of us had been to Linville Caverns so, on this wet and rainy Saturday we decided to go.

We had a great time and learned quite a bit of history. For $5.00 adult admission/ kids under 6 free, it was well worth the money.

After Linville Caverns we went to lunch at Dan’l Boone Inn. It is good 'home cookin'. The menu is always the same so, it isn't somewhere you want to go all the time. The atmosphere is as good as the food with all the waitresses in dresses from the time period. Want mouth watering Jellies and Jams? Visit the giftshop.
-Dinner Menu -Family Style Meal: Fried Chicken, Country Style Steak, Country Ham Biscuits, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Green Beans, Cut Corn, Fresh Stewed Apples, Coleslaw, Biscuits, Dessert (choc. cake, peach cobbler, or strawberry shortcake), Soup or Salad, Beverage
So much for dieting...
